US troops homecoming and the impact on the economy

Obahma has announced that all troops will be coming home by year end (2011)...

First off, have we not heard this before? I am pretty sure! However, if this is in fact correct how will this effect the already fragile US economy?

Well first off, troops will come home and find that the jobs they left may not be there. Companies may not be around or may have reduced work forces substantially.

This will in turn put a burden back onto the government for benefits, not to mention unemployed services.

However, is the answer to keep spending on the IRAQ war? $800 billion is the magic figure so far, not to mention the human cost of thousands who have lost there father's, mother's, son's and daughter's not to mention the ten's of thousands who have injuries from the war. Add to this the countless hidden injuries in which have not been diagnosed such as post traumatic stress.

Normally in war time measures, economies flourish, however this time it will be interesting how this will impact the economy.

And when the final bill is tallied... Was it worth it?
